Legal
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data AthElite Sports Management collects, why, how we look after it, and what rights you have. We have written it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.
Who we are
AthElite Sports Management is a sports technology company based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. For questions about this policy or your data, contact info@Athelites.com.
Data we collect from website visitors
This website has no login and no backend database. If you use the contact form, it composes an email in your own mail client — nothing is submitted to or stored on this site.
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful. Where analytics are in use, they are configured to avoid collecting personal information wherever possible.
Data we process for clients
When an organisation engages us, we process data about their athletes, staff and competitions in order to deliver the agreed services. This can include names, dates of birth, contact details, performance records, attendance, fitness testing and, where the engagement covers it, injury and medical notes.
In this relationship the client organisation is the data controller and AthElite acts as a processor on their documented instructions. We do not use client athlete data to train general-purpose models, and we do not sell or share it with other clients.
Why we process it
We process personal data only to:
- Deliver the analytics, reporting and software described in the engagement
- Provide support, maintenance and troubleshooting
- Meet legal, audit or contractual obligations
- Communicate with you about the services you have asked about
Children's and young athletes' data
A large part of our work involves age-group sport, so we frequently process data about minors. We handle it on the basis of the client organisation's own consent arrangements with parents or guardians, restrict access to those who need it, and apply the same security controls as to any other record. Where a parent or guardian wants a record corrected or removed, the request should go to the organisation that holds the relationship, and we will support them in acting on it.
How long we keep it
Client data is retained for the duration of the engagement and for an agreed period afterwards, then deleted or returned. Enquiry emails are kept only as long as they are commercially useful. Specific retention periods are set out in the engagement agreement.
Security
We use role-based access control so people only see the records their role requires, encryption in transit and at rest, access logging, and multi-factor authentication for administrative access. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell an affected client promptly if we become aware of a breach involving their data.
Third parties
We use a small number of established service providers for hosting, email and analytics. They process data on our instructions and are bound by their own contractual and security obligations. We do not sell personal data to anyone, for any purpose.
Your rights
Depending on the applicable law, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to processing, and receive a copy in a portable format. If your data is held as part of a client engagement, contact that organisation first; if you contact us directly we will route your request appropriately.
To exercise any right, or to complain about how we have handled your data, email info@Athelites.com.
Changes
If we change this policy materially we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects an active engagement, notify the client directly.
